Rick's celebrated rants are some of the sharpest political commentary to be found anywhere in the country's media, and certainly the funniest. They are featured here, along with other moments from the show -- including encounters with Conrad Black, Jean Chretien, and Anne Murray -- and many additional pieces, some of which first appeared on his website. Because when he's not jumping into a lake with David Suzuki or Bob Rae, or helping the leader of the Green Party kill a tree, Rick Mercer likes to relax by blogging. From Kabul,...

A Canadian Iconic figure and a expert in some ways and not only can you enjoy his brand of political satire/ humour most self-effacing. He has inspired many with his antics and fearlessness in tackling subjects that are generally not ever spoken about with intelligence, wit and biting sarcasm.

Canada's answer to Al Franken has something to say about pretty much anything that has happened on the Hill over the last decade. Really enjoyed this as it was like a walk down memory lane with the political landscape described along the way. Very funny and also educational - pertinent in our currently prorogued parliament times!

Rick takes the sport of politics to new heights and along the way makes us laugh. Well done!

If you have just caught a glimpse of Rick Mercer in any of his rants from This Hour, Interviewing Americans, or the RMR then when you pick up this book - you can hear his voice as you read! Not that I am interested in all the actual topics but was fun to read (and learn a thing or two) reading and hearing Rick's voice through the book.

Also easy to read since broken into individual rants and not too lengthy to read one here and there.
