I like the honest account of the successes and failures of the women's movement, the lessons that made it stronger and that help us to understand the forces which push and pull our society. When progress seems slow, it helps to look back in astonishment at the assumptions and pronouncements that won public opinion 40 years ago. Attitudes have changed.
