This was long one of my favorite books/series. The comment that has been made by others holds here: it's like Narnia for adults, but boy, is it fun! I love the fantasy world Dekker has created here.

Really, really interesting. It captured my attention and held it to the end. However, Black was simply confusing. The story quickly jumped from world to world, with the main character attempting to, at one time, save both worlds. Even worse was the way the scene changed every single time he fell asleep! There were some great moments, especially when he swam in the lake of Elyon, but overall it was a little too much for me. That said, I will still read Red, the next title in the series. At least Christian fiction is suspenseful...

Prepare yourself for a thriller and Lost fan series. Dekker starts his story with Thomas Hunter who's dreams and reality become one. Then he is faced with saving the world from a lethal virus strain based only on dreams (or is it real) that talk about the end of the world in books that tell the past. Dekker strings together fantasy and thrilling strings into a tapestry of perfection in Black.

You will pick up this book and you will read even though you have other things to do. Your eyelids may become heavy due to your hectic day. However, you keep reading because you just can not stop. You may finally give into sleep out of practical reasons. After all, you have to look decent in the morning. The book will remain in your hands as you slumber. The moment you get up, you keep on reading. After you finished the book, you immediately go out and get all other Ted Dekker books.

Ted Dekker has quickly become one of my favorite authors! The plot was intriguing and filled with action and adventure. While the next books in the series, Red, White and Green are just as good.

This was a great book!!!!!!! The first in the circle trilogy by Ted Dekker. It was full of excitement and suspension I couldn't wait to read Red and White after it. I highly recommend it.
