Amelia Hathaway, accustomed to caring for her siblings since the death of her parents, appeals to gentleman's club manager Cam Rohan for help in finding her wastrel brother Leo, and is surprised to find she has attracted the attentions of Rohan who finds his longing to abandon London society and return to his Gypsy roots is not nearly as strong as his desire for the unconventional Amelia.
This is the first book of the Hathaway series and my favourite one. Great character development and some quirky humour. Cam as the leading man was very sexy!
This is a very, very good series-opener. Fans of Kleypas' Wallflowers quartet will recognize the hero, Cam, from his supporting role in Devil in Winter, and will be pleased to find that some of the Wallflowers make an appearance in this one. More importantly, Kleypas introduces a new family -- the Hathaways -- and manages to give each of the five siblings a distinct personality and quirks. Can't wait to read the remaining four books!
The first half of the book absolutely rocked. I love Cam's personality: he's mysterious and mischievous and bit of a bad boy but he's got many admirable qualities as well. Overall though, I was expecting the story to be a little different. There was hardly any interactions with the ton; mostly the story took place in the countryside with a few of very understanding friends of Cam. And tbh, the repeated saving of Leo got a little tiring. I was more intrigued by Cam's and Merriken's past, and any possible connection with the pooka and I hope to one day read more about it.

Love this book! Had to buy the whole series! Wish I had a gypsy like Cam :)
