(The fourth book in the Lady Darby Mystery series)
It was good to go back. With an apt title, the story was much of a study where we see how women of different status have to compromise, live through their choices, and their marriages, for better and for worse. I am a little sad to see a UST (which was so delicious in this series) become a RST, and tbh, I'm kinda ready for this series to end. The romance (that is decidedly in the backseat) has lost its appeal (just a teeny tiny bit) ever since the impending marriage though I still love Gage and Kiera to bits.
What? I'm fickle. Sue me.
Anyways, I think I would like a fresh new series by Huber to love and obsess. Just a thought.
