Book News
The influenza vaccine that was used in 1976 for the expected Swine Flu epidemic was associated with cases of a nervous system condition called Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS). This report reviews the data on influenza vaccines and neurological conditions and concludes that, although there is evidence to support a causal relationship between the 1976 vaccine and GBS, the evidence about GBS for other years' influenza vaccines is not clear. The report also looks at evidence for a relationship between flu vaccines and other neurological conditions. There is no subject index. Annotation ©2004 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (
