"The sequel to Kushiel's avatar, Imriel returns to embark on a harsh and ugly quest to bring the murderer of his wife and son to justice"--Provided by publisher.
What the heck is this description?
Halfway through-I GET IT. BUT JEEZE SPOILERS MUCH.
Finished-This was better than Kushiel's Scion, but I still wasn't really that impressed. When you're protag is searching for a bear-man for like 400 pages, wouldn't you be bored too?
Also stop hanging Melisandre over our heads IF SHE STILL HASN'T SHOWN UP. At this point, I'm wondering if she even does.
I think I'm one of the few that prefer the Imriel trilogy to Phaedre's. The second volume is the best of the three books, though obviously reading book one first will help the story flow better for the reader.
