Another excellent Barbara Erskine novel, that was difficult to put down. The only things I disliked were that she has her characters curse the Lord's name frequently. If the characters must swear, so be it, but the repeated use of the Lord's name was offensive to me. The ending was sudden and I am still not sure exactly what happened, but overall the book was a page turner.
