Rex Fortescue is murdered after his morning tea. From what the inspectors find, no one seemed to like the guy. Who had the best motive for murder? Wait, more people are killed? Is it the same killer or a copycat? Will Miss Marple solve the mystery before more lives are lost?

Meh. Great writing, but not a stellar mystery.

Not quite as good as And Then There Were None, but A Pocket Full Of Rye was still a good mystery novel. The setup was good, although I didn't find the ending that satisfying. My only real complaint is that for it has Miss Marple's name on it, so I was expecting her to be a main character. She doesn't appear until nearly halfway though, and then she's only a supporting character to Inspector Neele, the real main character. Overall it was a good book. I'ts worth reading if you enjoy mystery stories.

I don't remember reading this book before, and I was so caught up in the story that I forgot to pay attention to who was the least likely culprit, who, in her books, is always the one "whodunnit". I like to see how early in the story I can figure it out. And instead, I enjoyed the whole story and was surprised at the end.
