Being an Angel Olsen fan is rewarding. Not only is each album better than the one before, the new work casts the older in new light, revealing new starting points, unexpected influences and richer directions. "My Woman" is a terrific blend of 60's garage pop ("Never Be Mine", "Shut Up Kiss Me") and longer, slow-burning pieces ("Those Were the Days", "Pops") that simply stun, begging for repeated listening. Olsen's voice and songwriting get more expressive with each album.
