Presented by Kultur International, through their "Post Impressionists" series - This 50-minute documentary takes a close-up look at the life and works of Norwegian painter, Edvard Munch. Born in 1863 - Munch is estimated to have completed 1000 paintings in his lifetime. Many of his works contained psychological themes, such as "The Scream" (completed in 1893). It is widely known that Nazi dictator, Adolf Hitler condemned Munch's work, as he did the works of Picasso, Matisse, and Gaugin, as well. *Note* - In 1944 - Edvard Munch (80 at the time) died of heart failure.
